Elliott Ashe, Team driver
Team driver, Elliott Ashe, pilots the number 72 for Ashe Racing. He has been racing since 2013 starting in Junior Clone 2 at Atoka Raceway Park (ARP) in Brighton, Tenn.; his current home track.
Prior to racing, Elliott worked in track registration at ARP with his friend and mentor, Danny Davis. He was the assistant scorer and announcer and sang the National Anthem before the races. He took over as full-time scorer, announcer and registration duties in mid-2015 as well as driving.
Elliott started racing during the mid-2013 season piloting an Enik Engines-powered Phantom Nemesis speedway chassis to a seventh place finish in the Junior 3 points and flirted with a victory lane but never quite found it.
It was 2014 where Elliott showed improvement in his first full season and finished second in the Junior 3 points at ARP and finally won his first race - it was the last race of the season. Ironically, two classes later, he won in a champ kart for his second win in the same day. Elliott was also awarded the Cody Burks Memorial Award - an award for an outstanding junior driver for sportsmanship and drive.
In 2015, Elliott found himself behind the wheel of a brand new 2015 Phantom Triton Jr. with a new Enik Engine providing power through a Tomar TD-44 clutch. That combo seemed to work well for Elliott as he won four races and claimed the title of champion in the Stock Light class at ARP.
In 2016, Elliott again assumed duties in registration as the head scorer and track announcer at Atoka Raceway Park. He has competed in several races and has two wins so far.
Elliott has also announced races at Riverside International Speedway, the King of Kings Shootout, Mid-South Shootout, and the Burris Shootout and is available for announcing events.
