The Team

Founded in 1990, Ashe Racing was to be the start of a racing adventure eventually leading to race cars but constantly moving around the country didn't allow for the stability the team needed to make the step from karts to race cars. Karts were easy to move, easy to work on, and provided comepetition in any part of the counry due to a stadardized set of rules.

Kart racing's versatility allowed team us to compete on ovals, pavement, dirt, clay, and road courses in both two- and four-cycle karts.

The U.S. Navy provided a unique opportunity for founder, Frank Ashe, to compete on four different continents and win races in 17 states. When Frank went to sea, his helmet and driving suit went with him.

In 2004, Frank's son, Franklin, was added to the driving roster when he became old enough to race. In 2013, Frank's youngest son, Elliott, got behind the wheel. Even Frank's wife, Amanda, competed in a few events - and did well! - but found that cheering on the team was best suited for her. The youngest memeber of the team, daughter Molly, lends moral support but has no intentions of getting dirty.

Still going strong 26 years later, Ashe Racing will be ready to hit the ovals in 2016!
